The instructor asked us to list anything in our past that we felt ashamed of, guilty about, regretted, or incomplete about. The next week he invited participants to read their lists aloud. Babbette Jaquish was known as the “Sunflower Lady” in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin, community where she lived. When she died last November after a long battle with cancer, her husband, cash grain farmer Don Jaquish, decided to fulfill one of her dreams.
