Your son is a genius
Con là một thiên tài
One day Thomas Edison came home and gave a paper to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother.”
Một ngày nọ Thomas Edison về đến nhà và đưa mẹ một tờ giấy. Cu cậu nói với mẹ: "Cô giáo con gửi tờ giấy này cho mẹ và dặn con chỉ đưa cho mẹ mà thôi."
His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out loud to her child: Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.
Mẹ cậu rưng rưng nước mắt khi đọc lớn lá thư cho con trai mình nghe: "Con trai chị là một thiên tài. Ngôi trường này quá nhỏ bé, không có đủ giáo viên giỏi để dạy cháu. Mong chị tự dạy dỗ cháu."
After many, many years, Edison’s mother died and he was now one of the greatest inventors of the century, one day he was looking through old family things.

Sau nhiều năm, mẹ Edison mất và cậu bé Edison ngày nào giờ đã trở thành một trong những nhà phát minh vĩ đại nhất thế kỷ, một ngày kia, ông ngồi xem lại những kỷ vật của gia đình.
Suddenly he saw a folded paper in the corner of a drawer in a desk. He took it and opened it up.
Chợt ông thấy một tờ giấy gấp để trong góc hộc bàn. Ông cầm lên và mở ra.
On the paper was written: Your son is addled [mentally ill].

Tờ giấy ghi: Con trai chị đầu óc nó cứ nghĩ linh ta linh tinh gì đâu (bị thần kinh).
We won’t let him come to school any more.
Chúng tôi đuổi học nó.
Edison cried for hours and then he wrote in his diary.

Edison khóc một lúc lâu rồi viết trong cuốn nhật ký của mình.
“Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.”

Thomas Alva Edison là một đứa trẻ hư hỏng, nhưng nhờ có một người mẹ anh hùng, mà đã trở thành thiên tài của thế kỉ.
Never Give up. Be confident.
Không bao giờ bỏ cuộc. Hãy tự tin lên.
Remember, any battle is won
Nhớ là bạn có thể chiến thắng bất kỳ trận chiến nào

Good story. Right in the feel. But edison stole other people's inventions and took credit for them. as we know, he collaborated with a lot of people to give us inventions that have greatly influenced the society, but almost none of his collaborators were given any credit for their work
